By A Correspondent| MDC Alliance spokesperson, Fadzai Mahere has revealed that incarcerated party activist Makomborero Haruzivishe has complained that he is being attacked at night by fellow inmates .

According to Mahere, when Haruzivishe confronts his attackers, they act like they are in a trance or hallucinating.

The losing independent candidate for Mt Pleasant constituency who has since joined MDC Alliance said Haruzivishe’s lawyers have since contacted prison services to ensure his safety.

“We are receiving complaints from Makomborero Haruzivishe that he is being attacked at night by “fellow inmates” who choke him. When he asks what’s going on, they act like they’re in a trance or hallucination. His lawyers are engaging the Prison Services to make sure he is safe,” said Mahere on Twitter.

Haruzivishe is currently locked up at Harare remand prison after his bail was invoked.

He is also out on bail pending appeal after he was convicted to 12 months in prison early this year.
