Mnangagwa Maintains Lock-Down

By A Correspondent-The government has the Level 2 Lockdown Measures announced on the 7th of September 2021 by another two weeks, under the same conditions.

The Secretary of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Nick Mangwana posted on social media on Tuesday notifying members of the public about the development. He said:
His Excellency the President has extended the Level 2 Lockdown Measures announced on the 7th of September 2021 by another two weeks, under the same conditions.

This is happening when statistics from the Ministry of Health and Child Care indicate that coronavirus infections and deaths have been falling in recent weeks.

There have, however, been a spike in new cases in some schools especially in the Midlands province.
Under the Level 2 Lockdown Measures, business operators are allowed to operate between 0800 hours to 1900 hours.
Beer hall operators, nightclubs and or shebeens remain closed.
Public gatherings are limited to not more than 100 people and should be held within the stipulated period and not cross over into the curfew period which is from 2200 hours till 0530 hours the next morning.
Intercity travelling is allowed.
