By A Correspondent- The Harare magistrates court has ignored Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s wife, Marry’s ill health and proceeded to set trial dates for two of her three alleged criminal cases.

Marry is facing money laundering, attempted murder and assault charges.

Regional magistrate Stanford Mambanje Thursday set October 18 and 1 November as trial dates for money laundering and attempted murder charges, respectively.

Attempted murder charges against Marry after the former Army general said Marry wanted to kill him when he was in hospital in South Africa.

The State led by Michael Reza said they were expecting to furnish Marry with a trial date in that matter since the docket was now ready.

Marry’s lawyer Ms Beatrice Mtetwa told the court that the trials would depend on the medical tests which she is supposed to undertake to ascertain whether she would be fit to stand court hearings.
