By Showbiz Reporter-Zanu PF activist and party regalia designer Faith Taruvinga, has died.

The death of the marketing and logistics manager for House of Cheneso, a Zanu PF youth project, was announced by the party’s youth league security secretary, Tendai Chirau, on his social media.

“It’s shocking to receive news of Faith Taruvinga’s passing,” Chirau posted. “She was an integral part of the House of Cheneso project, and her creative talent brought life to our events. Her loss is deeply felt. May her soul rest in peace.”

Taruvinga’s business outfit was commissioned to design and produce the party’s signature attire following the 2017 military coup that displaced Robert Mugabe.

She earned widespread recognition for her ability to blend the party’s liberation war history with contemporary fashion trends, creating regalia that resonated across generations.

At the Zanu PF War Veterans League Conference, her work—meticulously researched and inspired by archival footage—became a sensation, capturing the party’s revolutionary ethos while appealing to younger members.

Taruvinga described the process as both challenging and rewarding, reflecting her commitment to excellence.

Beyond her role with Zanu PF, Taruvinga represented Zimbabwe at the Italy Taormina International Fashion Show.
Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
