An ally of opposition leader Nelson Chamisa, Darlington Chigumbu has refuted claims made in the state media that the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has endorsed a nefarious agenda being sponsored by Emmerson Mnangagwa to extend his term of office to 2030.

Posting on X, Chigumbu said they have no business in Zanu PF issues and did not instruct one Charles Moyo to speak on their behalf.

It is not true that all opposition MPs have endorsed @ZANUPF_Official 2030’s nefarious resolution. We have no business in Zanu PF issues, and we refuse to be dragged into them. Hon Charles Moyo has no right to speak on our behalf, and we have issued a statement putting the record straight. We will publish the names of all MPs who have distanced themselves from the statement allegedly made by Hon Moyo.
