Minister of Local Government and Public Works, Daniel Garwe, has urged civil servants in Masvingo to support the extension of President Mnangagwa’s term to 2030 or face the consequences of stress and high blood pressure.

Garwe made the remarks during the handover of title deeds to government employees at Masvingo Polytechnic on Thursday. He emphasized that those who oppose the idea risk suffering from health issues like hypertension.

“The 2030 agenda is a done deal,” Garwe said. “President Emmerson Mnangagwa is here to stay. If you don’t want to suffer from high blood pressure, support the call for the extension of his term beyond 2028. Those opposing the conference resolution are simply misguided.”

He further added, “The 2030 agenda is unstoppable. Tell your colleagues that we are not going back on this one.”
