By Munacho Gwamanda – Renowned prophet Ian Ndlovu has issued a striking prediction of a possible coup, warning that it could take place before the end of next month.

There are fierce power struggles between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputy, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga.

This clash , could lead to a dramatic political showdown.

Ndlovu’s prophecy comes amid reports that a group of high-ranking security officials and war veterans held a secret meeting this week to strategize on blocking Mnangagwa’s attempts to extend his rule beyond his current term through the #ED2030 agenda.

In a video now going viral on social media, Ndlovu issued a cryptic but ominous warning:

“We must continue to pray for our nation… Two trains are set to collide. I personally pray for peace for all ordinary Zimbabweans, but change must not be stopped, in whatever form it needs to come.”

Reports indicate that a powerful faction of military and war veterans, disgruntled by Mnangagwa’s growing authoritarian grip, recently convened at a secret location in Mashonaland Central.

The province, historically known as a hub for political coups, has long been a stronghold for anti-Mnangagwa elements within ZANU-PF and the military.

A close source to the group emphasized that their patience with Mnangagwa’s maneuvers was running out:

“You hear what credible war veterans like Blessing Geza are saying. He is not hallucinating; he is communicating a message from the script, and you must listen to him carefully.”

Mnangagwa’s steady consolidation of power has intensified tensions with Chiwenga’s loyalists in the military, many of whom believe the Vice President is the rightful heir to the presidency.

This is not the first time that power struggles within Zimbabwe’s ruling elite have led to political upheaval.

The late former Air Force Commander Perrence Shiri—who played a key role in the 2017 coup that ousted Robert Mugabe—was known to hold secret meetings in the middle of his Bindura Arcadia Dam with allies like Paradzai Zimondi and Bindura South MP Remigious Matangira.

Both Shiri and Zimondi died under mysterious circumstances during the COVID-19 pandemic, with insiders suggesting that Mnangagwa eliminated them to weaken potential challengers.

Despite Mnangagwa’s relentless efforts to sideline Chiwenga, sections of the military remain loyal to the former general.

This has fueled speculation that any further moves to isolate or weaken Chiwenga could provoke a military intervention similar to the one that led to Mugabe’s downfall.

Unlike in 2017, Mnangagwa has fortified his control over Zimbabwe’s intelligence agencies and has purged several senior military officers linked to Chiwenga.

However, history has shown that Zimbabwe’s politics remains unpredictable.

The rift between Mnangagwa and Chiwenga has been widening since the 2017 coup, with the Vice President increasingly sidelined from key government and party structures.

As tensions escalate, many observers believe Zimbabwe could be on the brink of another military-backed power shift.
