By Dorrothy Moyo | ZimEye | Mabvazuva, Zimbabwe – The local biking community came together in a heartfelt and solemn tribute to honor the life of their late comrade, Mutsa Mangombe. In a display of brotherhood and deep sorrow, bikers from various clubs escorted his body from the First Mutual Parlour to his home in Mabvazuva.
Mourners, dressed in black biker jackets adorned with club insignias, gathered in large numbers to pay their last respects. The emotional procession was marked by the roaring sounds of motorcycles and the sight of bikers standing shoulder to shoulder, carrying the casket of their fallen friend.

In one poignant moment, a floral arrangement spelling out the word “BIKER” was held high, symbolizing the strong bond that Mangombe shared with his riding family. Friends, family, and fellow bikers could be seen holding white and blue floral wreaths, reflecting the respect and admiration he earned in the community.
As the coffin was brought into the home, riders stood solemnly, helmets in hand, a symbol of their grief and tribute. The streets leading to the house were lined with high-performance motorcycles, a fitting honor for a man whose passion for riding was evident throughout his life.
Mangombe, whose life was tragically cut short, was described by his peers as a dedicated rider, mentor, and beloved member of the ZIM Bikers fraternity. His passing leaves a deep void in the biking community, with many remembering him as a man who embraced the thrill of the open road with unwavering enthusiasm.
“As bikers, we are in deep pain over the loss of a family member, and we say, ‘Rest in Peace,’” read a statement from ZIM Bikers, the group that organized the procession.
The funeral arrangements are set to continue with more tributes expected from friends and fellow bikers. The biking community has vowed to keep Mangombe’s memory alive through future rides and events in his honor.
Rest in Power, Mutsa Mangombe. Your spirit will forever ride on.
