Former Zimbabwe national team coach, Sunday Chidzambwa, also known as Mhofu, is optimistic about the Warriors’ chances in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations. He believes the current young and talented squad has the potential to go beyond the group phase for the first time.

“This is our sixth time qualifying, and I’m confident we can make history,” Mhofu said. “Being the underdogs will work to our advantage, and we’re in a better position to upset Bafana Bafana.”

Mhofu warned that Zimbabwe should not be underestimated by their opponents, including Egypt and Angola. “Football is stubborn, and anyone who looks down on us does so at their own risk,” he said.
