Auxilia Mnangagwa, the ZANU-PF candidate, is poised to win as the new Member of Parliament for the Chirumhanzu-Zibagwe constituency in a by-election that is coming soon on the 27^th of March 2015. Events leading to the run-up to this poll indicate that she is facing minimum threat from all other aspiring opposition candidates for the same post.
Mnangagwa is so conspicuous that she has become a sudden darling for the electorates. She is famous for unrolling a lot of development projects in the constituency which include construction of clinics, refurbishment of roads and schools as well as advocating for a revamp of the social delivery services for the benefit of all people in the constituency among other things.
All her rallies have been commended for being peaceful and her unwavering propensity to preach peace, tolerance and the need to promote the prevalence of democracy in the constituency.
Some opposition candidates are confining themselves to a few perceived strongholds in very few wards like Lalapanzi and Munyati, while their contestant is covering the entire area. The opposition candidates are brewing themselves for an out-right loss as evidenced by their reluctance to make themselves visible.
