Staff Reporter | The Court hearing of war veterans spokesperson, Douglas Mahiya has been adjourned after his lawyer Harrison Nkomo exposed that the state does not have a certificate of prosecution signed by the Prosecutor General.
Riot police have barricaded the entrance to the court where the case is being heard, ZimEye.com can reveal.
Mahiya has been charged with the same allegation as 26 year old Viva Zimbabwe leader, Acie Lumumba.
Police on Thursday 28 July 2016 charged ZNLWVA spokesperson Douglas Mahiya for allegedly undermining authority of or insulting President Robert Mugabe in contravention of Section 33 (2) (a) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23, the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights reveal.
