Terrence Mawawa | A South African man shot his wife over a dispute on a dinner gala arranged by Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.

The Soshanguve man allegedly shot and wounded his wife after she took their savings and bought the most expensive ticket for the controversial Pretoria based prophet’s gala dinner.

According to neighbours, the woman who cannot be named at this stage, took R25 000 from the savings account of the family to buy Prophet Bushiri’s gala dinner tickets.

The gala dinner which will be hosted at Tshwane Show Grounds on 23 December is not an affair for the poor.

“I was doing laundry when I heard a gunshot coming from my neighbour’s house. I went there to investigate and found the lady lying on the floor. Her husband explained what had happened and then disappeared,“ she explained.

“The woman wanted to sit next to Bushiri at the gala dinner and she spent the money without discussing it with her husband. He lost his cool and shot her,“said one woman.
