Abducted civic rights activist Itai Dzamara’s brother Patson has opened fire on all church pastors saying they are out for riches.
Soon attracting a backlash from Christians left right and centre, he said this as he complained that pastors he invited to the weekend Dzamara prayer meeting were out just to make money using his brother’s name. He named for instance one specific pastor he had deployed to organise police clearance for the Saturday function.
He wrote, “as far as my knowledge is concerned, The Pastors Fellowship of Zimbabwe representing the church was invited to the table but it appears as if they are seeking to posit that the prayer initiative was their brainchild.
“That is not correct. Through the help of well wishers in the civic society, as a family we have been hosting prayer meetings for Itai Dzamara on a monthly basis since his disappearance and that is public knowledge.
“Its unfortunate and curious that of all the prayer meetings we have hosted as a family, The Pastors Fellowship of Zimbabwe never showed up. Neither were they a part of the process. In fact most church leaders never came through to pray with us because they are afraid to be marked by the authorities and eventually missing out on what they love the most, richies.”
His comments drew an artillery from furious Zimbabweans some who began challenging his educational credentials being the doctorate he displays as “Dr.”
Wrote news columnist Ndaba Nhuku, “this should be worrying. Maybe Patson Dzamara needs to find a neutral family spokesperson who will handle these concerns to avoid creating enemies. I see statements like this presenting future problems. Parson needs to not be reminded that many political players have been taking advantage of Itai’s case; and he never issued a statement against them. Something is amiss here. We also don’t see the explanation on how these guys were financially going to benefit from this prayer. It seems something is not in order.”
Another Zimbo Denzel Nkhata weighed in saying “I once read somewhere pakanzi Dr Patson Dzamara.. but I now wonder…is this guy a doctor?#
“Minus the boring vain repetitions in his statement , a doctor cannot lack fore sight to such an extent neither can he be so dumb as to claim to be issuing such rubbish on behalf of the whole Dzamara family.”
One networker named as “Sacha Forest” also poured her fury saying, “Patson ane mawara, speedy mupfana uyu, accusing all and sundry, haasiriye here who was attending leadership conferences with the likes of Kasukuwere and Chiyangwa, takamubvunza kuti ndeipi ? he mouthed off, hezvoka.”

  1. …and to make it worse, kutorera mari vanhu vanotambudzika. Real evil, if you ask me.

  2. Well thats your opinion but i think you love money as well. if you dont love it enda unogara kumusha.

  3. so funny kuti ukataura chokwadi unenge uchaurawa, chipastor ibusiness rekutorera vanhu mari while they close their eyes to pray, esp munguva dzekushupika idzi. Just bring back Itai Dzamara.

  4. But who does not know how much most pastors love money more than they love the people they are supposed to lead? Just join a church, show you have money and they will visit you unendingly ignoring your sick poor neighbor.
