Mnangagwa Sanctions Another Murambatsvina, Destroys 39 Harare Houses

By Langton Ncube|The President Emmerson Mnangwa administration has sanctioned the and destroyed 39 houses in Arcadia, Harare.
Most of the houses which were on Tuesday destroyed by the Harare City Council with the authority of government were built 20 years ago.
Harare City Council spokesperson Michael Chideme said residents had been given adequate warning prior to the demolitions.
“We know they were there, but that is not an excuse. The warning letters were there to let them know of our intentions,”he said.
Chideme said the destroyed houses were illegally built on service land meant for pipes and sewage systems.

How did the council allow these houses to be built on service land who allowed it find the person there must be a name and a signature somewhere
The last time I checked. MDC T runs the Harare city council. Please reporter check your facts before you write.
You shouldn’t be building in an infrastructure easement, that will teach people to understand local govt policies or legislation.

Good move, the houses were built on to of sewage lines.
Poor timing. It’s raining now, does a people’s President destroy their houses in these rains? No no no. From the frying pan into the fire. Makes choices easier for the forthcoming elections.
