Joseph Makamba Busha the leader of Free Zimbabwe Congress party says President Robert Mugabe uses terror and intimidation to stay in power.
Mugabe (91) has ruled the country since independence in 1980.
He has also not allowed succession debate within the party and dismisses anyone who would have shown interest in challenging him.
His territory has been safe since independence, but began to be threatened in 2000 after the formation of the Movement for Democratic Change.
He enacted repressive laws which curtailed democracy and freedom of expression and ensured that the opposition did not reach out to the masses.
“My advice to President Mugabe is that winning of Zanu PF is not necessarily that people are happy. People are scared,” Busha told reporters in Harare.
“Instead of freedom people are fearful”.
Busha said Mugabe and his party will sink into oblivion in the next election.
“To you President Mugabe the vice presidents and membership of Zanu PF do not worry about who will be the President of Zimbabwe.
“You can worry about succession in Zanu PF, but come 2018 do not worry who is going to take Zimbabwe and use all the good foundation that has been there to better heights because I am here,” he said.

“That is a clear message that any worries must be within the party”.

  1. Yes Mugabe has used violence to stay in power but it must be said that the poor quality of the opposition has helped extend Mugabe’s stay in State House.
Take Joseph Makamba Busha the leader of Free Zimbabwe Congress who is aspiring to be president after 2018 elections, for example, here is just another mediocre and confused nobody. Mugabe did not use terror to win the 2013 elections as he did in the 2008 run-off presidential election for example; the tyrant has moved on and so should you.
Mr Busha is just another Morgan Tsvangirai, he does not a clue what needs to be done here to end the Zanu PF dictatorship; all he is hoping for take advantage of the people’s desperation for change and be elected and thus get a seat on the gravy train.
Having an electorate that is naïve and gullible, naïve and gullible enough to elect someone as corrupt and incompetent as Tsvangirai, has thrown the political door wide open. Even village idiot with nothing to offer other than that they are not Robert Mugabe are throwing their hat in; they too are hoping to claim a seat on the gravy train. 28 political parties contested the 2013 elections; no doubt there will be as many if not even more in the 2018 elections.
Mr Busha the last elections were lost because MDC failed to implement the democratic reforms. If you and your FZC supporters have failed to comprehend this simple political fact then there can be no doubt that Mugabe and Zanu PF will “win” the next elections!
The economic situation in Zimbabwe has reached new level, the people are so desperate they will vote for anyone but what the people have failed to factor in is that not everyone is smart enough to stop Mugabe and Zanu PF denying the people a meaningful vote and rigging the elections. And the regime has developed many subtle ways of rigging the vote other than the blatant use of violence!
