New CIO Boss Moyo In Double Duty Scam

Ray Nkosi | Recently appointed CIO boss Isaac Moyo, is also still Zimbabwe’s Ambassador To South-Africa with questions being raised as to whether President Emmerson Mnangagwa is short of manpower.

Mnangagwa is set to meet the business community and investors in South Africa on Thursday, with an invitation letter signed by Moyo being circulated to Zimbabweans in the Diaspora and the media.

However, the above letter has courted controversy with political analysts questioning how the CIO boss can also still be carrying out his Ambassadorial duties. Writes Jelous Mawarire on Twitter : “Isaac Moyo is both Zim Ambassador to South Africa & Director General of CIO? What kind of thing is that? Surely when pple complain about security sector capturing government, this is what they will be talking about. DG Moyo shld either be Ambassador to SA, or CIO DG, not both.”

To which a Walter Muzambezi responds, “No jobs at all for others, while some have 2, whats happening?”

  1. when you do two jobs with one employer then you can only be at one and he knows you are not at another. Its now a question of where are you currently deployed. you are here pending your movement hey people make a case out of nothing

    Otherwise we would have to say “Maybe neither of the two is a demanding job so he can do both. ”

    There are deputies in each case so he takes responsibility but he is not necessarily in place.

  5. I beg to forgive all those whose understanding of appointment and assumption of duty are at zero rate. In short the Ambassador was appointed CIO boss but is yet to assume duty at the Brown Bricks. Then where is the double duty thing here. Tell me ooooh
