By Farirai Madhumbe| Former president Robert Mugabe, has been spotted leaving a Singaporean hospital.

AFP reports that Mugabe who was ousted from power last month, visited a Singapore hospital on Friday (Dec 15) during a trip to the city state for a medical check-up.

Mugabe was pictured walking without a suit. Some Zimbabweans commented that Mugabe was well dressed. Wrote a fervent supporter, Kerina Mujati, “Picture of the day –  at least my Gushungo is well dressed and fitted into his clothes not vaye vanoti vakapfeka suit ungati yakaturikwa pachimuti.

“Looking healthy pane vaye vane miromo inenge yemunhu anoswerera kachasu neface inenge charcoal marasha eku Hwange.

“Since 1924 and going strong. Gushungo you looking great. Thanks Mai Simba and Dr Amai for the great job. ”

AFP noted that this is the first time Mugabe has been seen in public since he was forced to resign after a military takeover brought a sudden end to his 37-year reign. There have however been other public pictures of the ailing 94 year old after resigning and these show him at his BlueRoof house withformer RBZ governor Gideon Gono.

The 93-year-old was seen leaving a lift in Gleneagles Hospital in downtown Singapore around midday, wearing a white shirt and black trousers, and accompanied by eight people, AFP journalists said.
