The Temba Mliswa led Youth Advocacy for Reform and Democracy (YARD) has endorsed the appointment of Nelson Chamisa as a Vice President of the Movement for Democratic Change led by Morgan Tsvangirai.
In a national command meeting held on Saturday, the 23rd of July, the YARD National Executive Command unanimously agreed on the political correctness of the decision by the leader of the MDC-T, Morgan Tsvangirai.
Nelson Chamisa was a student leader in his youthful prime when the Labour Party was formed. Chamisa recently lost the election to be the Secretary General of the MDC-T.
During the meeting, the YARD Founder & Commander-in-Chief of, Hon Temba Mliswa, praised the Tsvangirai led MDC-T for pioneering the elevation of Youths to higher political offices. “I have to be honest and congratulate the appointment of Nelson Chamisa into the presidium of the MDC-T. The elevation of the youth is a clear sign that the YARD ideals have been appreciated by major players in politics.”
The YARD National Spokesperson, Tinotenda Mhungu, equally spoke in glittering terms of the appointment of the youth leader. “Nelson is a charismatic, young and educated leader, who is the future of Zimbabwean politics”, he said. The YARD National Executive’s unanimous endorsement of the MDC-T appointment was based purely on the principle of the fulfilment of the youth agenda of youth participation and representation in the political arena.
YARD has been advocating for the inclusion and active participation and representation of youths in politics and leadership positions in a conscious and well thought out policy formulation and constitutional consistency for the development of Zimbabwe.

  1. Mliswa, the most confused fool ever to emerge in Zim politics. The other day you were selling Mnangagwa to the French as a successor; today you are backing Chamisa who is in opposition. What the hell is all this about?
