By Paul Nyathi| Anti riot police from the Zimbabwe Republic Police Support Unit in Fairbridge in the outskirts of Bulawayo were Sunday noon called in to bring calm at the MDC-T offices in the Bulawayo Central Business District.
Witnesses who spoke to ZimEye.com said that the factional fights in the party started when Deputy President Thokozani Khuphe arrived at the party offices to attend a meeting where discussions around her return to full activity in the party was being held.
According to the witnesses, a group of party youth members from within the province were lying ambush around the party offices waiting for Khuphe to arrive for the meeting before storming into the offices and attacking the party officials who were attending the meeting.
Several people were reported injured and ambulances seen driving in and out of the party offices. Several vehicles that were parked outside the offices were also damaged. SEE THE EARLIER PICTURES HERE :
