Correspondent|FORMER Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara said President Emmerson Mnangagwa invited 20 irrelevant people who don’t matter for national dialogue.

Mutambara was speaking at the Putting Zimbabwe First Conference hosted by the SIVIO Institute at Cresta Hotel in Harare on Wednesday, February 27.

He went on to suggest that if Zanu PF is serious about dialogue it must sit down with the MDC Alliance, business and civic society. “

Mutambara also bemoaned the lack of leadership and statesmanship in the ruling party (Zanu PF) and opposition (MDC Alliance). There is a need for leadership across the board with Zimbabweans working together, he said.

“Yes for dialogue but the nature of the dialogue is important. You can’t have 20 elements and bring them to state house and say I am having dialogue.

Dialogue with who without the MDC Alliance. If Zanu PF and the government are serious about dialogue they must dialogue with the MDC Alliance.

Those 20 people don’t matter, they are irrelevant. You can bring civic society, business and the MDC Alliance and talk. Why do you need a guy with 2 votes. You are going to talk about what. “
