Vendors here have accused municipal police officers of looting their goods.

Vendors who spoke to ZimEye.com yesterday said instead of taking the merchandise to the council warehouse the municipal cops were looting the goods.

“The municipal cops are looting our goods.We know that they are supposed to take the goods to the council warehouse.

They are unwilling to listen to our challenges. How do they expect us to survive? We saw them sharing the goods among themselves,” said one vendor.

Masvingo City Council Housing Director Levison Nzvura urged the vendors to sell their merchandise at designated places.
