Terrence Mawawa, Buhera | In a grisly murder incident that has stunned the local community, a sex worker was brutally killed by her 19 year old client last week.
The 20 year old sex worker died on her way to Mutare General Hospital after being hit by an empty beer bottle several times.
The incident happened near Murambinda Growth Point when Given Nyoni(19) hired Agnes Mulauzi for quality time. He promised to pay the agreed $2. However Nyoni exceeded the stipulated time resulting in Mulauzi demanding $5 dollars.
Nyoni then accused Mulauzi of failing to satisfy him and the two were involved in a heated argument.
Nyoni struck Mulauzi with an empty beer bottle and continued to hit her on the head. Nyoni fled from the scene after brutally killing Mlauzi.
Mulauzi sustained deep cuts on the head and was taken to Murambinda Hospital where she was referred to Mutare General Hospital but died on the way.
Local villagers said Mulauzi spent a long time bleeding since the incident happened during the night and attempts to rescue her came when it was too late.
Manicaland Provincial police spokesperson Tavhiringwa Kakohwa confirmed the incident.
“I can confirm that we received the report and Nyoni has since been arrested. He is assisting police with investigations,” said Kakohwa.
