History is about to be set in Zimbabwe as ZANU PF comrades aligned to Vice President Joice Mujuru are wounded and they can now easily forge a powerful, formidable force that will push out Robert Mugabe’s faction out of power, writes political analyst Barbara Nyagomo.
History proves that liberation parties caught in situations such as the present Mujuru-predicament, will split and the persecuted will soon become the conquerers, Nyagomo argues using Kenya as a prominent case study.
“The succession battle was messy and selectively targetting the stronger faction led by Mai Joyce Mujuru.I think after congress we might have the KANU Political effect caused by Daniel Arap Moi in 1991(Kenya),” she writes.
She continues, “ZANU PF might have fractures after the congress(visible factions already exist),the organisation might split into two or several portions.One of the factions might unite with the opposition to win 2018 elections just like what happened to Mwai Kibakis political party from KANU formed from a faction. They won elections in 1997 but there was bloodshed.You think all the Cdes who were purged are not hurt?

Mujuru is not worthy it as a politician. She was only relying on Mugabe- MDC-T can have – and her presence will not add value to that lot of spineless and brainless idiots. If she is anything or somebody of really material let her and her accomplices , Rugare, Mutasa , Kaukonde etc form their on party and less see if they recognised in Zimbabwean politics. She can form her own party but, let us face it, what will it ever accomplish? Mai Mujuru is as incompetent as Tsvangirai her only big plus over him is that she is loaded with all the looted wealth – if Mugabe allows her to keep it.

Anything is possible although I would say the Zanu PF faction that win now will win the 2018 elections if they manage to hang on to power till then because they will rig the elections just as readily as the rigged last year’s elections. You should have factored in the fact that both the Mujuru faction and the MDC opposition are breathtakingly incompetent!
Anything is possible in Politics and I do not see Mugabe going on for ever. Barbara has given an insightful analysis. The only thing Mai Mujuru needs to do is to team up with like minded democrats and they will be a force to reckon with. One party dominant system have a lifespan and Zanu Pf is edging towards the miserable end its life.

Yes God is happy for Amai Grace Mugabe to rule because He knows she will deliver. She has the poor at heart. Just with little resources she is looking after many orphans and the lame. She even told the police not to loot goods from vendors who are our mothers, brothers and sisters. If she becomes President there will be no homeless people or street kids. Greedy people will be dealt away with, farms will be redistributed equally amoung all Zimbabweans regardless of race, colour or political affiliation. God knows all this. Methinks that with the current goings on between the President and the VP, there is no love lost between her and ZPF. The VP has every right of freedom of association in terms of our constitution and she can either form her own party or join forces with other like minded organizations such as MDC-T. This is what democracy, and of course politics, is all about after all.
