Embarrassing Tongue Slip Up As Chinamasa Recommends Endorsement Of Mugabe As 2018 Presidential Candidate

Terrence Mawawa | In yet another tongue slip up, Zanu PF Secretary for Legal Affairs, Patrick Chinamasa made an embarrassing blunder when he read out former President Robert Mugabe’ s name as the party’ s 2018 Presidential Candidate.

As he read out the Central Committee resolutions, Chinamasa erroneously said Mugabe was the party’ s sole Presidential Candidate for the 2018 elections.

Fidgeting uneasily, Chinamasa had a moment of total mental relapse as he struggled to atone for his glaring blunder.

“The Central Committee has recommended that Cde RG Mugabe is the party’ s sole Presidential Candidate for the 2018 elections… Oh sorry I cannot hear you,” said Chinamasa.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa could be seen grinning at Chinamasa as he tried to correct himself.

Chinamasa is the second Zanu PF Officials in as many weeks to mention Mugabe’s name.

Political observers believe many Zanu PF Officials have fervent admiration for the nonagenarian despite his ignominious resignation last month.
