By Thando Dlamini| Violence has broken out between President Jacob Zuma’s supporters and those of ANC leader, Cyril Ramaphosa.

Zuma’s supporters arriving clad in Black First Land First (BLF) regalia fought back a number of ANC members, a development that saw police officers descend onto the scene outside Luthuli House in Johannesburg.

There is an emergency meeting of ANC leaders here following Zuma’s refusal to step down yesterday evening.

A van carrying a group of people in Black First Land First (BLF) regalia were attacked as the vehicle approached the main entrance of the building.

ANC supporters came out in their numbers on Monday to state a counter offensive against a “Hands off Jacob Zuma” protest‚ led by BLF and other organisations.

  1. Mazimbo magutisa makutaurisa when Xenophobia started who was president-Mbeki, Who reinstated bob after 2008 election karohwa kadhara kaye-Mbeki,who gave you mapermits amusinga deserve futi-Zuma # which country gives permits to petrol attendents# yo brothers and sisters are living in s.a coz of Zuma. He myt be corrupt but atleast he showed us Ubuntu- He must leave when his tenure ends, Cyril murderd pple in Marikana, he is no saint.

  2. It’s not about Zuma’s strength derived from Zulu partisan support not common sense it’s all about South Africa and the southern Africa sub region. Under Zuma the South African economy is free falling. In a country where 15 million tax payers support social programme’s for 45 million people the 15 million need to be kept constantly employed otherwise chaos of mega proportions will engulf South African. When that happens there will be mass movement north with non South Africans fleeing xenophobic violence. This can all be avoided by recalling the scandalous thieving Zuma. He recalled Mbeki why can he not be recalled? Simple…because he will go to jail when that happens.

  3. Zuma is an economic idiot who drove the SA economy to the brink and the longer he stays the more ANC support is eroded–he must go pronto–the party has spoken–and he is going straight from Luthuli into orange overalls!! He is a criminal masquerading as a revolutionary

  4. Cyril and his supporters listen too much to opposition parties and media. They are not thinking about the bigger picture. Opposition speaks Cyril and his people go nuts and start singing from the same gym book. All they needed is patience for their own good. He will probably fail to save 2 terms. He is the only one now who can stop the madness by addressing his supporters but he is quite because he wants to please his new advisor Mbeki who is dying for revenge .

  5. Is that a member of the South African Z.R.P. standing by when a citizen is being abused?.j

  6. its about ramaphosa, not all south africans are against zuma as evedenced by this confrontation.
Why cant zuma not finish his term. Zuma has been there for more than 8 years why now only 12 months to go, surely ramaposa must control his eagerness for power
they will drive south africa into disrepute. Zuma is a strong man than mbeki

  7. its not about ramaphosa per se. its about south Africa and its people, its reputation, its development, need to curb corruption by setting the right tone at the top, restoration of ANC battered image.

  8. This is a lesson to other leaders. Zuma recalled Mbeki and his term was cut short. Now its your turn, can you face it?

  9. Ramaposa just needs to relax and be patient, his turn will come failure to which there will be big trouble. Be warned and be very afraid
