Terrence Mawawa Highlanders head coach Madinda Ndlovu has said he
Is happy with the level of competition posed
by his youthful squad after his team finished runners
up in the ZNA Charities Shield.
A youthful Bosso side lost 1-2 to Dembare in yesterday’ s pulsating final at the National Sports Stadium.
Madinda, who was using the tournament to prepare
his charges for the 2018 PSL season was satisfied with the character displayed
by his young team.
“Look, it’s just the
beginning of the project that we have embarked on
as a club. I think for me the project is actually going
in line with our plans. As a point of correction, we
are not rebuilding Highlanders Football Club.”
The coach felt his team matched their rivals pound
for pound but were just unfortunate not to find the
equalizing goal.
“I think the boys matched Dynamos in all areas but
in a game of football one team has to win and the
other has to lose,” Madinda told Chronicle yesterday.
