Bulawayo Giants Highlanders posted a crucial 1-0 victory over Bulawayo City at Barbourfields Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Bosso dominated possession in the first half but could not find the back of the net.

Brian Banda broke the deadlock in the 74th minute with a well-taken freekick to give Bosso the lead.

The scoreline remained unchanged as Bulawayo City suffered another defeat in a row to stay in the drop zone.

At Rufaro Stadium, Black Rhinos and Dynamos settled for a 1-1 draw.

Rhinos controlled the game in the first period and grabbed the lead in the 20th minute through Lot Chiunga who capitalised on a mistake at the back. The striker had another chance just after the half-hour mark, but could not beat the keeper in a one-on-one situation.

The Glamour Boys’ first real attempt at goal came towards the break when captain Ocean Mushure’s header went off target.

Nonetheless, substitute Quality Kangadze equalised ten minutes into the second half, finishing off Mushure’s freekick.
