A seasoned magistrate has appeared in court for allegedly raping his wife’ s younger sister.

According to court records, Magistrate Edwin Marecha allegedly had sexual intercourse with his sister-in-law without her consent.

Marecha appeared at the Harare Magistrate Courts facing rape charges.

According to the State outline, Marecha allegedly had sex with Penia Mugota at Marondera Hotel and the latter screamed for help to no avail.The incident happened on August 16.

Marecha allegedly had sex with Mugota on several occasions until she became pregnant.

Mugota told the court that Marecha bribed her with cash.

Marecha through his lawyer A Rubaya of Rubaya and Chatambudza denied he raped his sister-in- law.
