ZBC Allowed To Cover August 1 Commission Of Enquiry Public Hearing While All Media Houses Are Told To Wait
16 October 2018
By Own Correspondent| Journalists intending to cover the advertised August 1 Commission Of Enquiry public hearing have been told to wait until 11 am as only the state broadcaster ZBC has so far been allowed to cover the process, it has emerged.
Scribes were put on hold at Cresta Lodge in Msasa, Harare with security details telling journalists that they would only be invited inside at 11 am.
This is despite the commission advertising that it would start conducting public hearings into the August 1 2018 post election violence which saw soldiers shoot and kill 6 civilians and injuring at least 14 others.
The hearing was scheduled to start at 9:30 am.
