By Own Correspondent- The Zanu PF youth league in Masvingo has been urged to defend the party against elements who may want to cause disharmony within the party structures.

These were sentiments echoed during a youth inter-district meeting held in Masvingo.

The Zanu PF youth inter-district meeting saw youths pledging their unwavering support for the President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The party’s youth league chairman for Masvingo province Cde Brian Munyoro said youths should be on the forefront of defending the party from those bent on causing havoc through sowing seeds of disunity.

“Hatidi kuita setisingaoni kuti zvinhu zvakaoma. Isu tinomira na president vedu. Tomira navo and we say ED 2023. (We don’t want to act as if we do not see that things are tough. We stand by our president. We will stand with him and we say ED 2023),” said Cde Munyoro.

 Zanu PF Central Committee member Cde Shingirai Mangwana urged fellow youths to embark on viable income generating projects emphasizing on the need for them to be part of economic development in the country.

“Sema youth ngatiite ma project, form ma cooperatives muwanewo zvamunoita. (As the youths let’s embark on various projects, form cooperatives and find something to do.),” said Cde Mangwana.

The meeting was attended by Zanu PF youth league members from the province’s 7 districts.
