The newly elected MDC Youth Assembly leadership led by Chairman Obey Sithole today paid a courtesy visit to Kadoma Ward 2 to drum up support for party candidate, Svorai Chiwara ahead of the June 8 by-election.
Sithole popularly known as Cde Luther was very clear in his message on what needs to be done by the long suffering citizenry going forward.
The maverick youth leader said MDC is an idea whose time has come and therefore no bayonets, guns and tankers can stop the people’s quest for change.
Fellow Youth Assembly leaders Cecelia Chimbiri (Vice Chair), Netsai Marova (Deputy Organ) and Stephen Chuma (Spokesperson) all concurred in their messages that the time for change is now.
The Youth Assembly national leadership who recently paid a visit to the incarcerated Clr Michael Gore conveyed his message to the residents of Ward 2 about the need to retain the council seat.
The Rimuka gathering was also attended MDC National Chairperson, Hon Thabitha Khumalo.
Honorable Khumalo said ZANU PF was in a state of political decomposition hence they are unelectable for any public office.
The event was also attended by Mashonaland provincial leadership of all wings who included Chairpersons Ralph Magunje (main wing, Abigail Usai (women) and Collen Mapfumo (youth).
