27 Cadres Remanded to 3rd October

The 27 cadres who were unjustly arrested on 16 August 2019 appeared at the Harare Magistrates courts this morning.

They were further to 3rd October 2019.

The MDC is seriously concerned by the unnecessarily tough bail conditions that have been imposed on the 27 cadres. They have been asked to report to the Police twice per week on every Monday and Friday.

The MDC believes that their arrest had no valid legal basis but was inspired mostly by the political interests of the regime.

We thank all our MDC leaders and members who managed to join them in court today in active solidarity.
