By Jane Mlambo| The number of confirmed cases in Zimbabwe have increased by one to eight as the country enters day two of the 21-day lockdown announced by government to contain the deadly pandemic.

According to the ministry of health and child care, four of the eight cases were reported in Mashonaland East where a 52 year old male who returned into the country from Dubai infected three other persons.

One person has died as a result of COVID-19.

Zimbabwe has tested only 241 people amid calls for mass test exercise to ensure the lockdown completely deals with the pandemic.
