Four MDC officials will contest in the party primary elections in Chipinge South as the movement seeks to halt the Zanu PF dominance in the area.

“Chipinge South Constituency presents a very
interesting case study for the MDC faction led by Nelson
Chamisa as four candidates battle for the right to represent the party.

The four candidates who are
going to face each other in the primary elections are
Meki Makuyana ,who has been a candidate since
2008,Kuda Chiororo,Army Maunde and Clifford
Hlatywayo.

For the past three weeks the candidates
have been going around mobilising their structures for support.

Already,the council elections
have been concluded with Tawanda Muzaya winning in ward 24,Jonathan Muzondi ward
26,Hardlife Masaiti ward 29 and Jerry Moyana ward 28-
among others,” party sources said yesterday.
