By Paul Nyathi|Africa’s only remaining hope in the on going FIFA World Cup bowed out of the tournament in a most gruesome manner on Thursday evening.

The Africans were tied on points and other permutations with Japan for second place only to be kicked out because they had received more yellow cards than the Japanese using the FIFA Fairplay rule.

Both Senegal and Japan lost their final matches by an identical 1 – 0 scoreline when they each needed just a draw to make it through to the final.
