By Simba Chikanza| There was a deeply embarrassing turn at Emmerson Mnangagwa’s killings commission of inquiry yesterday when a party official confessed saying that 1 August (the day soldiers indiscrimminately shot at and killed several civilians as election results were delayed) was actually a pre meditated day already labelled “Chamisa Day” because he was having trouble understanding the election results.” The latter shocking words were uttered by party employee, Mr Peter Zimowa yesterday afternoon.

Zimowa let the black cat out of the bag while on the other side accusing Chamisa of causing the mass murders by the military on that fateful day.

The commission has the announced mandate of seeking to justify the military shootings and blame it on civilians. On the 2nd August, Mnangagwa’s deputy, Constantino Chiwenga told ZimEye that the more than 6 dead were killed by civilians he labelled MDC “hooligans”. He then verbally suggested that the LIVE bullets seen at the scene were produced by teargas. Mnangagwa himself also separately told reporters he blames the mass massacre on Nelson Chamisa’s party.

Meanwhile yesterday, there was more drama afterwards when Peter Zimowa exploded in laughter twice before the cameras while aparrently scoffing at his own statement .
