Farai Dziva|Two villagers in Zaka District, Masvingo Province were last week attacked by marauding hyenas that are reportedly causing havoc in the area.

The two villagers from Chief Ndanga and Chief Bota’ s areas were treated at local hospital, according to government sources.

Ndeya Nyede, the Zaka District Administrator has since appealed to the Parks and Wildlife Department to capture the nocturnal animals.

Officials at the Parks and Wildlife Department in Masvingo said they were yet to get an official report from the affected district.

“We can only take appropriate action when we get an official report from the concerned area.We are therefore waiting for an official report from Zaka,” said an official at the Parks and Wildlife Department in Masvingo.
