Kirsty Coventry Congratulate New Swimming Title Holder, Donata Katai

By Own Correspondent- Sports minister Kirsty Coventry has congratulated Zimbabwean swimmer Donata Katai for breaking the 100 meters Backstroke African Junior record at the just ended national swimming competitions in South Africa.
Katai, a young swimmer from Mashonaland, broke Kirsty Coventry’s backstroke record which she set in 1998.
She was part of the Zimbabwean team competing at the South Africa National Junior Championships at Kings Park Pool in Durban.
A form 3 student at Gateway High in Harare. Katai swam 1 minute 5.6 seconds,taking more than one and a half seconds off Coventry’s record set in 1998.
