A Harare Kombi driver is accused of having a s.e.xual relationship with a 15-year-old girl from a local school.

According to the local tabloid, H-Metro, Ronald Tagwinya (26) is reported to have been caught red-handed by the complainant’s father whilst with the girl (name withheld) in his commuter omnibus.

The matter was then reported to Warren Park Police station leading to Tagwinya’s arrest. The girl then revealed the s.e.xual encounters and a medical examination was done.

Appearing before Harare Magistrate Masimba Chikodzore, Tagwinya denied the accusations.

The court heard that sometime in 2018, Twagwinya proposed to love the girl and the two became acquaintances. It is alleged that the relationship later became s.e.xual and the two started engaging in unprotected s.e.xual intercourse in Tagwinya’s commuter omnibus.

The matter only came to light after the two were caught red-handed by the complainant’s father in Tagwinya’s omnibus.

In his defence, Tagwinya told the court that he knew the child but had never had s.e.xual !intercourse with her. The case was adjourned to August 30.
