By Jane Mlambo| Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has piled more misery on his estranged wife Marry telling the High Court she should stay at her own house, not the one she indicated on her court papers.
In her bail Application, Marry had highlighted that she was was now a destitute after being denied access to their Borrowdale house where her children, clothes and other possessions are being kept.
But Chiwenga in a notice of opposition to the former model’s interim application, said she should instead change the address she used when applying for bail at the High Court.
“In Zimbabwe, she has houses mentioned in the summons. That is not a destitute. On the bail condition, she must amend (paragraph c) to indicate where she is currently residing right now.”
In her sworn affidavit, Marry said her children aged 8, 7 and 5 were all minors and needed the love and care of their mother.
Marry further sought the court’s intervention to have access to her clothes and five cars but Chiwengs said only one of the five cars, a Range Rover Autobiography belongs to her.
The other four cars according to Chiwenga did not belong to him.
Chiwenga and wife Marry are going through a messy divorce amid accusations that the Miss Zimbabwe patron attempted her husband when he was battling for life at a South African hospital.
Chiwenga is being represented by Manase and Manase Legal Practitioners while Marry is represented by top human rights lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa.
