By A Correspondent| An Intercape bus en-route to South Africa was gutted by fire in Malawi.

The accident was at a road-spot near Linthipe 3 in Ntcheu district.

Eyewitnesses at the scene said all the passengers and two crew members escaped unhurt.

While the cause was unknown at the time of printing, the driver Alfred Banda reported saying “an electrical fault” caused the fire.
