First Lady in last gasp campaign trail| By Tinoonga Mawere, Masvingo|Posters bearing First Lady Grace Mugabe and her nonegenarian husband ,President Robert Mugabe’s faces have flooded the ancient city days before the Zanu PF annual conference in a move that has all but confirmed Mrs Mugabe’s presidential ambitions.
The posters purportedly hoped to prepare people’s hearts in the town for Grace’s tomorrow rally at Mushayavanhu Business Centre in Gutu, printed by concerned war veterans in solidarity with the ambitious Mrs Mugabe have been pasted on trees and buildings across the city and party insiders have pointed out the First Lady’s presidential ambitions have been virtually confirmed.
It has also emerged the CIO hatched a plan to drum up support for Grace in Masvingo province ,an area seen as a trouble spot for the First Lady. The Zanu PF Masvingo Provincial Executive has openly opposed Mrs Mugabe’s ascendancy .
The expensive posters decorated by the traditional Zanu PF colours have been printed at a time the government is struggling to pay bonuses for civil servants such that the government workers have been left guessing.
The posters show Mrs Mugabe carrying a clay pot on her head , a sign of responsibility and call for duty.
“Attention: War Veterans – as written in our constitution on section 26 and 84 -Lets meet when the First Lady comes so that we will tell her our needs so that she can pass them to His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe CDE RG Mugabe .She is the one who knows when to tell him,” read the message on the posters.
Local political analyst Arnold Batirai today said :” The posters we have seen are a clear indication of Mrs Mugabe ‘s political intentions. The posters have been pasted to soak up pressure in Masvingo which is regarded as a trouble zone for the First Lady.It is clear her supporters are geared up for her ascendancy.”

What is a stooge? Isnt Mugabe a stooge of the Chinese? People like you are pathetic to say the least.Mugabe praises China but China doesn’t want to associate with him.Right now China has poured R97 billion to South Africa and only R4 to Zimbabwe.Read wide and do not just say stooge because you heard that word and you love it.The truth is that those who are in ZANU are stooges of Mugabe.He has totally messed up and has nothing to say is his achievement.Land reform is a disaster.There is no crop you can profitably grow in Zimbawe.The ministers force to buy cotton at US 35 centsper kg from the poor and sell it at US 4 dollars per kg.The same with tobacco.Peasnats afre fleeced at will.Mugabe and his family will never be icons of Zimbabwe.Diamond money disappeared and he himself had personal mines.Thousands were killed in Matebeleland, hundreds in Marange, hundreds in elections.You must focus on your blind patronage and leave Tsvangirai, who at present continues to get massive support.It is the sick who like such circus of Grace being president.

If Zimbabweans decide to vote Grace into office, i will change my citizenship. It is a decision I have already made up. Adviser I think you lost it here. Tsvangirai can be a stooge or what ever you want to call him, but Mugabe is a failure and a biggest loser in this earth. Yes you cant compare him with our leader Tsvangirai, because Mugabe only wins by rigging now the economy cant be rigged he had been ensnared and cant do anything.
Mugabe cant be even compared to even a donkey serves the people, Mugabe can only fit a pig if u ar to compare him with something.
Why do you compare with stooge of the West, Tsvangirai? Anyway , the people will chose their President during elections , not in the media! In a democracy anyone can campaign!
If posters made someone president, Tsvangirai would have become one as far back as 2002.
