Chimurenga Music Company (CMC), on behalf of Thomas Mapfumo & the Blacks Unlimited and Jimmy Jimalo Entertainment, would like to express sincere regret over the inevitable last minute cancellation of a performance that was scheduled for March 27th (Johannesburg) and March 28th (Cape Town) in South Africa.
Despite thorough preparations for the trip, a glitch emerged due to some unforeseen delay in the release of travel documents for some of the band members. While concerted efforts are still underway to secure the release of the travel documents, there is no guarantee that the documents could be timely available before the scheduled dates.
With that fortuitous development, CMC and Jimmy Jimalo Entertainment were jointly left with no option but to cancel the trip as a timely remedy to avoid further prejudice and inconvenience to all the fans.
The prejudice and inconvenience caused through this untimely cancellation is sincerely regretted.
Be that as it may, CMC continues to be humbled by, and appreciates the support, cooperation and loyalty that have been enjoyed by the band.
