Mr Nathaniel Manherus’s three articles in which he heartlessly attacked the victims of Gukurahundi and Ndebele language is nothing but declaration of war.
Had Nathaniel Manheru been just another masked lunatic, we would not have bothered to respond to his wicked provocative and highly offending articles. We are very, very offended and George Charamba and his other gukurahundist shall indeed pay for the loss of our loved ones.It is clear that the reason why President Robert Mugabe has not apologised for this genocide up to today is because he does not see Matebeles as human beings and thus confirms his genocide was justified. But since we were reliably informed by Professor Johnathan Moyo through his article titled, “The useful idiot has gone too far this time” (11-12-2009).
We now know that the coward who hides behind the pseudonym, Nathaniel Manheru, is none other than George Charamba, President Mugabe’s spokesman. George Charamba has indeed gone too far to unacceptable levels of provocation. Therefore there is no aota of doubt and it comes as no surprise that this venom is being spewed directly from the President of Zimbabwe’s office. The same office where the evil document called “The Grand Plan” was written, the same office where gukurahundi was hatched, the same office that runs a tribalism state founded on Shona superiorism, the same office that continues to pen segregationist policies, marginalisation and oppression of Matabeleland the same office that singled out the white farmers to expropriate their land and kill some of them.
It is clear today that President Robert Mugabe has no remorse for the genocide he did in Matebeleland . We said it before and we will always say it, nothing good for the people of Matabeleland will ever come from that “tribesman’s office”, not now not in our life time or anytime in future. This is Professor Jonathan Moyo’s testimony, ” The persistence of inflammatory tribal bigotry by George Charamba, Mugabe’s spokesman, in his weekly column “The Other Side” which he writes under the cover of the poison pen of Nathaniel Manheru in The Herald on Saturdays. Charamba speaks for Mugabe. Put differently Mugabe speaks through Charamba. Therefore the views expressed in the column in question by Charamba are supposed and certainly are intended to project, articulate and defend Mugabe’s thinking and policies on major issues of national interest. I know this as someone directly familiar with the origins and the purpose of the Nathaniel Manheru column in the Herald which was started under my watch when I was minister of information.” Surely the government of Zimbabwe or the office of the President must be concerned about this recklessness which indeed shall plunge Zimbabwe into civil unrest. What a revelation by Professor Moyo, it is not only MLO that exposing what Moyo terms as Mugabe’s “ethnonationalism and Bantustan ideology”. Matebeles in Zanu are not only aware but are also not happy about it they only hope their masters from Harare will correct it one day but the truth is, they will not.
Matebeleland Liberation Organisation ie MLO has said it before that among other reasons why we are going to break away from Zimbabwe by 2018 or thereabout is because we have no security of tenure in Zimbabwe and that there is no guarantee that another leader of Zimbabwe would not carry another genocide against Matebeles in future. One of the reasons why the State of Israel was created in 1948 and allowed to have nuclear weapons is because the Israels have no guarantee to be safe and secure in any other country but in a country they run on their behalf.
One would imagine how the world would react if the spokesman of German Chancellor were to make reckless statements that borders on trivialising holocost and expect the Israelis in German and else where to feel safe and secure.
“Don’t ague with a fool because people may not notice the difference,” goes the adage. This article is not intended to argue with you on your gukurahundi madness Mr George Charamba aka Nathaniel Manheru because if we do argue with a fool, we run the risk of being viewed as fools by the world. But we wish to let you and your bosses know that we are not Zimbabweans, we don’t want to be Zimbabweans and will never be Zimbabweans and our youth have been radicalised by your government and are ready to defend the dignity and security of all Matebele now and in future by whatever means necessary. No amount of intimidation, harassment, torture, humiliation, dehumanisation, and demonisation will turn us into Zimbabweans or stop us from reviving our Matabeleland statehood. Infact we find it very shameful, embarrassing and degrading to be called ZIMBABWEANS.Since you have clearly drawn the battle line, Do not even in your wildest dreams, entertain the foolish thought that we will roll over and let you do as you wish. We have suffered enough at the hands of your government. Enough is enough! Our youth has already been radicalised to deal with this situation once and for all. It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow but one thing you should know as a matter of urgency is that, we are coming to save our culture, language and identity from total annihilation, defend our people and above all to restore the statehood of Matabeleland which was lost on 3 November 1893.Please understand this is not a threat but a material factual message sent for the attention of the President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe and his government to stop this nonsense which has reached unacceptable levels. As MLO we will not threaten the Zimbabwe government now or in future and shall act where it is found necessary to do so to defend our people since the Zimbabwe has never done so in the past now nor do we expect them to do so in future.
We believe you and everyone else who cares to know how the nations are born or created must be aware of the cost and unpleasantries that you and your government would incur as part of our work in progress towards creating The Republic of Matebeleland by 2018.Matebeleland Liberation Organisation ie MLO was and is prepared to negotiate our independence and sovereignty with the Zimbabwe government and believe this is less costly and is the best route that we should all consider and adopt to resolve our grievances and re-establish State of Matebeleland.
Facts are as stubborn as a bull, you cannot just wash them away. In the 1980s Mugabe unleashed gukurahundi which killed over 40 000 innocent civilians in Matabeleland including frail and weak old people, children, women even the unborn were not spared. Pregnant women were bayoneted and had their stomachs ripped apart in the most barbaric manner “to see the dissidents inside.”More than 100 000 women were raped, more than 100 000 thousand homes were burnt down, more than 300 000 helpless civilians injured through barbaric beatings and more than a million people were displaced into neighbouring countries and overseas. The remaining population of about 3, 500 000 is facing humiliation, traumatic stress disorders and indescribable indignities. Foetuses, todlers, old people aided by walking sticks, powerless unarmed civilians, were murdered in cold blood, were all these dissidents? What about forcing Matabeles to speak shona, sing shona songs while dancing on the shallow mass graves of their loved ones, was it a way of flashing out dissidents?According to Dr Gregory Stanton, “genocide denial is actually a continuation of the genocide, because it is a continuing attempt to destroy the victim group psychologically and culturally, to deny its members even the memory of the murders of their relatives. Else Diesel calls it a “double murder” as it strives to kill the memory of the event. Studies by genocide scholars prove that the single best predictor of future genocide is denial of a past genocide coupled with impunity for its perpetrators. Genocide deniers are three times more likely to commit genocide again than other governments”The evil perpetrators cannot coach the victims on how and when to mourn their loved ones or force them to confess before Manheru. Gukurahundi is a genocide, it is not, by any stretch of imagination, a subject to be used by buffoons like Manheru on their tribal columns to poke fun at the victims of the genocide. We strongly believe that the perpetrators will never heal the wounds, but will only open them wider and cause more pain as Manheru has just done. We are lobbying and shall continue to do so until the arrogant gukurahundists get their day at The Hague and indeed their time of celebrating a genocide will be shortened as their day will finally arrive. Soon and very soon. The new Republic of Matabeleland is beckoning, we have reached a point of no return, we can only advance. It is not a joke, it is true that Matabeleland should be a fully independent and sovereign state come 2018. We urge all Matebeles to respond to our independence call. Before it is too late, let us unite and separate ourselves from savages who slaughtered our beloved relatives and make fun of it. Let us get out of the Shona Bantustan which discriminates against us as far as jobs, business and education opportunities are concerned. Let’s give our backs to the tribalist state that views us as objects who are less human. Let us get out of Zimbabwe which marginalises against us when it comes to development and service delivery. Let us get out of Zimbabwe which has reduced us to a status of destituteness. We are not chickens for slaughter, we are human beings who deserve to be treated as such.We have full rights to self determination. Like all humans on earth we have the ability and full rights to govern ourselves and run our own state of affairs. Why should we surrender all these rights to Zimbabweans who view us as animals for slaughter? All able bodied men in Matebeleland and in diaspora are called upon to stand and be counted to defend Matebeleland and regain Matebeleland Statehood at whatever cost. We deserve better than that.

The frequent citing of historical attacks on Shonas by Ndebeles is contradictory. It is a fact that during that time many ancestors of a people who were later to be called Shonas were absorbed into the small Ndebele state. The majority of present day Ndebeles therefore have at least a partial Shona ancestry. Why then should these people suffer twice?
I believe this is one of the greatest triumphs of colonial education. It planted the seeds of hate that we are still harvesting and sadly, our children are likely to continue harvesting.

You Zimbagens real take the fruit out of the fruit cake of narcissism. You want to buy yo cake and have it too. One says there was no genocide. Another says “if you want it to be recognised as a genocide, first admit that your ancestors killed my ancestors”. Such dizzying heights of narcissism and depravity, you Zimbagens possess. Sobohla manyosi.

Imaginary marginalisation? Do you not even realise that by this attempt of yours to silence the dissenting voices of the so called “Matabele” you are perpetrating marginalisation? How objective do you want anyone to be?
And is there any veracity to Matabeles constituting just “14% of the national cake”? Which nation’s cake? Zimbage or Matabeleland?

What is inherently wrong with “bantustans” except that you and yo lot do not fit into the scheme if UBUNTU? Albeit that you have the human form, you lack normal human being emotions and mentality. Your supercilious and dismissive attitude reeks of animalism only found in a pack of marauding wild dogs?
What idiot still believes elections are “won” in Zimbage?
Hogwash and running bull kak. Who do you think can still be brainwashed into thinking anything good will come from being united with unprincipled mommamounting bastards from Zimbage?
What began as a “kill Matabeleland” fire has inadvertantly engulfed the Zimbagen arsonist and the resultant inferno, now out of control, is devouring both, the initial victim target and the idiot behind the sights. Sobohla manyosi.
The myopic views about Matabeleland and its people, which you attempt to express here with assumed airs of grace and authority, are the reasons why yo Zimbage is teetering on the verges of self-annihilation. Leave Matabeleland alone and concentrate on righting the listing sewage carrying vessel yo Zimbage, before you yo kak spills all over the peaceful region of Southern Afrika.

Common sense and logic should by now have made it clear to all and sundry, yoself included that no one in Matebeleland envisages to rule yo Zimbage. All they want is to be left alone in their 15% of country, not to be overridden by smelly packs of marauding hyenas from yo Zimbage.
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it is with utmost likelihood a duck! So, what are you?
For me the tragedy about the Gukurahundi issue is that it degenerates into a lot of emotion, hatred, hate-speech, threats & counter-threats between black and black, Shona and Ndebele, whilst leaving whites smelling like roses!!
But the brutal facts are:
(a) pre-independence, Rhodesian whites committed a lot of heinous crimes at Chimoio, Nyadzonia, Freedom Camp, Chibondo [“ku-butcher”], etc -in acts that can only be correctly described as “crimes against humanity”- and, therefore, fit for trial at the Hague’s ICC. The likes of Roy Bennett & Ian Kay committed rape, brutal beatings, torture, & merciless killings of defenceless civilians with some bodies dissolved in acid or thrown down disused mine shafts. How is it that as blacks we would rather quickly forget these atrocities and forgive the whites but we’re not prepared to forgive one another as fellow blacks??!! When one reads the history of the Bantu migrations it becomes quite clear that as blacks we have more that should unite us than divide us.
(b) Surely the astounding willingness to ignore/forgive atrocities committed by Rhodesians cannot be because of the time when these took place! The overwhelming majority of atrocities committed by the Rhodesians took place around 1975-1980, and Gukurahundi occurred around 1983-1987. So exactly what leads to the difference??!! Furthermore, the Jewish holocaust took place around 1938 – 1945 but right up to this minute those Nazi criminals are still being hunted down!! Why?? Is it because in our case the victims are/were black whilst with the Nazi atrocities the victims are/were white??!!
The same disturbing trend of forgetting/forgiving white crimes but magnifying black crimes has also happened across the Limpopo: the useless Truth & Reconciliation Commission left a sour taste in the mouths of blacks like the Mxenges while giving whites an opportunity for catharsis and forgiveness after only confessing the heinous crimes they had committed under apartheid!! Compare and contrast the willingness to forgive whites against the haste & fiendish gusto with which blacks are willing to have Gushaz dragged to the Hague!!
(c) I’ve noticed that most of the people who recklessly say they want another war to avenge Gukurahundi basically fall into 2 groups: [i] those who were born AFTER the disturbances and so don’t really know the real horrors of a real war; and [ii] those who are based outside Zim and so would have the macabre joy of watching the war on TV [much like what we did with the 2014 Israel-Palestine conflict]. However, the real truth of the matter is that there are no real winners in any war.

You, Mthwakazi proponents always forget. If Gukurahundi issues are to be raised be also comfortable if we raise issues that happened during the precolonial era. Your ancestors raided our forefathers, they took beautiful wives for themselves, they took our strong men and our cattle and all wealth. That alone was a genocide as well, if we say let bygones be bygones, it should be a lose lose situation. Gukurahundi was wrong but you were not clean as well. No president will fold his arms in the face of rebelion. It was really a necessary cause.

You’re obviously using your heart, not your brain, to think!!…what gives you the impression that a group making up only 15% of the total population and claims to be marginalised, would suddenly turn the tables and win the war??!!

You seem to suffer from SELECTIVE AMNESIA!! … are you not aware that since time immemorial people from Matebeleland have always harboured this ambition to go “egoli” [RSA], thereby creating a Vacuum which was filled by other peoples??!!
But, bro, using common sense & logic how do you honestly expect a group comprising maybe 15% of the total population to over-rule the rest of Zim??!!

In case you didn’t know, in spite of using words like “us” and “we” which give the impression that you’re speaking on behalf of many, your views are NOT shared by the ordinary villagers & people of Matebeleland!! If that was the case, why would ZPF sweep Mat South in the last elections whilst tribalistic politicians like Dabengwa and Welshman Ncube perform so dismally in their “home” province??!!

The crazy thing with your twisted analysis is that the Vendas, Sothos, Tongas, Kalangas, etc themselves do NOT even want to be taken as Ndebeles!!…they actually feel very strongly that “Ndebele” has suppressed their own languages and cultures!! So if the ill-fated and poorly-thought idea of a separate Ndebele/Mthwakazi state was to happen the first real problem immediately afterwards would be such ethnic groups clamouring for their own “self-governing republics”!! The option would be either to accede to their demands and thereby create a hundred-and-one “bantustans” OR use military force to suppress such demands. I hope the madness of the Mthwakazi project is now clearer…

According to your argument zimbos are marginalising South Africa where they are always saying sorry I don’t speak Zulu /Xhosa/Afrikaans or are we marginalising Botswana by not being able to speak Tswana? If you want to see that the problem is also with the ndebeles just pretend to be a non Ndebele speaker in matabeleland and see if the attitude of ndebeles is one of integration and acceptance or one of enmity separation and violence

These funny groups about Mthwakazi this Ndebele this are getting out of hand….I feel there are some ndebeles who are agitating for war….I don’t know why they think war would be good but honestly I have never been a tribalist or racist and wasn’t even born during Gukurahundi and yet all these groups insult my heritage(as if any of us choose where we are born) and threaten to inflict violence upon me in revenge for things I don’t know about and for NOT being born a Ndebele? People should know kuti even if a Lion threatens a buffalo it will not wait to be attacked but will attack until that Lion is dead….stop pushing hate speech we will all suffer for it

Live Dube alone. Why are you so desperate to claim him? You Shonas like to claim everything – is this driven by a deep seated inferiority complex or what? No one can tell me who I am, where I belong or what language I should speak. That is my choice. Even Robert Mugabe; he chose to assume his mother’s identity. It is nobody’s business to tell him what he is or is not. Shonas should stop claiming everything and verybody – you want to claim the Khalanga people and yet they tell you straight in your faces that they are not Shona, will never be Shona no matter what but you insist; whats wrong with you people? I think you really need to work on the way ou people view yourselves; you have such a low self asteem as a people, such that you seem to rely on manufacturing population numbers to boost your self confidences. Cmmon, grow up and be man enough and walk tall like everyone of us. Its 2015; not 1800s!!!

Will you Shona people please stop defining and redifining us the people of Matebeleland. Most of you have your own home provinces, Mash East, Mash West, Mash Central, Manicaland and Masvingo – why are you so obsessed about everything Ndebele? Why cant you concentrate on your provinces and see how you can develop them and make better lives for your rural poor. Everday, everytime you – you have nothing to say about other regions of Zim, but seem to always have something to say about Matebeleland. Besides, all of your efforts are directed at trying to divide the province’s people and drive a wage between the different language communities; mainly between Ndebele versus the rest – what is your agenda? Matland is just a small part of Zim; focus on your regions and please live us alone!

The stark proof of Matebeleland marginalisatuion is in their languages and cultures. Since 1980; first Gukurahundis, at the barell of the gun forced people to speak Shona, a language they didnt even know; to sing Shona songs in praise of Mugabe – is that not marginalisation? Secondly, the influx of Shonas into Matebleland followed directly after Gukurahundi ended in 1987, with the usual accompanying “andinzwi chendebere”, from almost every Shona. All Shona people who lived in Matland in the 1960s and 1970s, were never like this – they all integrated well and intermarried with Matland people. Almost all positions of authority in Matland are held by Shonas; both in the public and private sectors – is that not marginalisation? You cannot go to Limpopo province in South Africa, KZN, North West or Eastern Cape to find all top positions being held by people from outside those provinces. It only happens in Zimbabwe. If that is not marginalisation – then you clearly do not know what marginalisation really is. Go to Elephants Hill in Vic Falls – from the Shop floor to the top most position; everyione is Shona and this is not even a Shona speaking province. Give me one example of a company of government office in Shop speaking provinces where everyone is from Matland from the Shop floor to the Chief Executive? Shonas have for over 35 years been planting seeds of tribalism and secession in Zimbabwe; but you keep denying everything no matter how much evidence is presented to you. Clearly most of you are not for peace!!
He indeed desperately needs the attention of a doctor. He comments about issues he knows very little about. I woukldnt be surprised if he was born in 1990 or so. Its clear he doesnt know anything about the Ndebele people, the Southern African region or Zimbabwe itself. Maybe he is from Burundi.
Stop telling us about ancestral wars. You and me are not ancestors, we are modern living man and we both played no role in those stories most of you Shonas love to tell. Did Bona play any role in Gukurahundi? If not, should she be held accountable? Think. Use your Medulla Oblangata!

Lets ave the war. Why are you people always trying to suppress this issue if the Gukurahundis were that innocent? Just let it be and let us see how the coocky crumbles!

Ndebeles are composed of a number of ethnic groupings. As long as you are in Zimbabwe and your roots can be traced to Ndebele Kingdom created by Mzilikazi you are a Ndebele like the Khumalos are Ndebeles of Nguni ethnic grouping. Sothos are Ndebeles of Sotho ethnic grouping. Kalangas are Ndebeles of Kalanga ethnic grouping.

Zimbabwe moved into a full-blown predator state, in which the powerful clique, corrupt and demagogic elite of political hyenas are increasingly control the state as a vehicle for self-enrichment since 1980. It continues to use tribalism as vehicle to ensure the shonas who the majority continue voting them back in power through propagandist means.

Well said. Misguided people like Israel Dube will want to convince us that Gukurahundi was nothing but a Shona govt versus defenceless Ndebeles; well, nothing could be furthest from the truth. There are harsh realities and painful truths that must be confronted e.g.:
(a) was the issue of armed dissidents just manufactured by the govt or was it really there?! I mean were there no armed renegades such as “Gayi Gusu” roaming the southern region raping girls & women, killing, and burning “govt” property?! Is it a figment of one’s imagination that some white tourists coming from Vic Falls were also killed by these dissidents?! Was there no group calling itself “Super Zapu” one of whose aims was to achieve the breakaway of Matebeleland as a separate state?!
(b) one would think Gukurahundi was all about Ndebele victims but it’s a fact that a lot of Shonas were also killed in Byo, particularly in Entumbane, coz they couldn’t correctly pronounce certain Ndebele words or phrases.
For the sake of progress, LET’S NOT RE-OPEN THE GUKURAHUNDI WOUNDS coz emotions run very high on both sides of the divide: Ndebeles as victims and Shonas for their kith & kin killed in Byo during the disturbances, and for the cattle, women, maize & other grains captured during those feared “madzviti raids”. Re-visiting the past is a game played without a referee and a war without winners. There is more that should unite us than divide us.

Mr George Charamba aka Nathaniel Manheru. At least it’s now in the open, whilst you were spewing your tribalistic diatribe, your time is approaching for you to face your maker. You will soon be joining your friends at the hure acre.

The writer deliberately forgot to state which parts of Charamba’s statements he objects to. I am not referring to the reality of there having been disturbances in the 1980s. The writer wants us to guess which parts of Charambas statements make you so angry. The mistake some of these anti-Shona people make is to assume that people of Zimbabwe will stop living their lives in order to join him in shouting about Ndebeles’ imaginary marginalisation. I say imaginary because no one objective facts have been shared to prove that Ndebeles are marginalised. why should a mere 14% of Zimbabwe population demand 50 5 of the national cake. Ndebeles make up about 14 % of the population if you did not know

Israel Dube, you seem to have forgotten the hundreds of thousands of Shonas killed by Ndebeles during the Ndebele raids of the early to late 19th century. You shout about purported killings of dissidents bent on destabilization of the country – these dissidents must have spent the entire liberation period laying lazily on their backs and only sprang into action after Zanu had liberated the country. You talk of revenge!!!!! The question is “against who” It is you, Dube who must hold your toung!!!! There is no part of Zimbabwe called “Matebeleland” and there is no Zimbabwean called “Ndebele”. Ndebeles belong to Zululand in South Africa and their mere existence in Southern Zimbabwe is a grueling reminder of yesteryear’s invaders. You start your foolish attempt to break away from the country and only invite more mayhem ten or even twenty fold the so called “gukurahundi”

You are spot on bro. Itsvery very interesting that I still have to read an article written by a Mabena, Mguni or Gumede, people that can rightly claim to be Ndebeles. Moat of the time it is Dubes, Ncubes and Moyos that pen these tribalist articles. These guys lost their Shona identity and culture when they were assimilated into the Ndebele culture and now they claim to be more Ndebele than the Ndebeles themselves. I think it is misdirected anger and they definitely need our sympathies. Sorry kwazvo.

Dube is like those black Americans who for reasons only known by God think they are not Africans. He sincerely believes he is Nguni and he needs our sympathies. They are many like him.

This opinion piece is so full of half-truths, distortions, and downright lies that it generates more of heat and very little light!! It would be totally laughable if the subject matter was not dead serious!!
All the same, a reality check is in order:
[1] the claim that Matebeleland is being deliberately side-lined economically is both wild and untrue. Anybody with objective knowledge of Zim will know that economic decline is a stark reality affecting the whole country. How many companies have closed shop in places like Mutare or Harare itself, throwing thousands of ex-workers into the streets? How many vendors do you see on the streets of Harare trying to eke out a living?
[2] the claim that Matebeleland is homogenously united behind the idea of a separate Matebeleland/Umthwakazi state is as wild as it is deranged. Sometime in the early 90s this same call for a separate Ndebele state was quite active, and one of the most vocal activists was the late Mthandazo Ndema-Ngwenya. The separatist idea seemed to be quite popular until there appeared a group calling itself VESTOKA which claimed to be representing the interests of the Venda, Sotho, Tonga & Kalanga peoples, hence their acronym. VESTOKA was quite adamant and emphatic that they were totally against their kids being taught Ndebele at school; their basic line of argument being that Ndebeles had unfairly suppressed their own languages & culture!! It’s very important to note & accept that not all people in Matebeleland actually like the idea of a separate Ndebele state!! Furthermore, if the idea of pandering to tribal sentiments was to be encouraged and implemented, isn’t it quite obvious that Zim would be broken down into a hundred-and-one “tribal homelands” [bantustans?!] Where would this balkanisation stop?!
[3] It should be quite apparent to any thinking person that being able to fluently speak Ndebele or Shona does not automatically make one Ndebele or Shona [any more than staying in a garage does not convert one into a car]!! Historically, it’s known that the Ndebele state grew in leaps & bounds through a process of military conquest and assimilation. So for those in the know, it’s the height of blissful ignorance, vanity & self-deception for people like Israel Dube to champion the creation of a separate Ndebele state coz Dube is NOT even Ndebele; since the original Ndebeles are Nguni!! A correct reading of our history will show that Hungwe from Gutu is actually related to Nyoni in Lupane, just as Ncube from Nkayi and Soko-Murehwa in Seke are actually brothers!! In other words there is more that should unite us than divide us. To take the argument further, who really can be regarded as “pure” Shona or Ndebele?! How do you also deal with people who have married across the tribal or racial divide?!
[4] Have we not really learnt anything from the Rwandan genocide? Was it not clear that when we allow such emotional but artificial lines as tribe to divide us, dark forces from the very pits of hell take over and everything spins out of control?! Did it not bother us at all that people who should ordinarily preach love and peace such as church nuns were actually at the forefront of the killings in Rwanda?! The simple truth of the matter is that IN ANY WAR THERE ARE NO WINNERS COZ WE’RE ALL LOSERS IN THE END!!
[5] Why is it that it’s misguided activists like Dube & MLO that are trying to reopen the Gukurahundi wounds when the ordinary villagers, who really suffered the brunt of the disturbances, have realised the wisdom of forgiving and moving on with their lives??!! If all these villagers were as bitter and angry as Dube is trying to portray, could Zanu PF have ever won even a single seat in Matebeleland??!! If Ndebele tribal sentiments were as rabidly strong as Dube would have us believe, shouldn’t political leaders with tribalistic tendencies like Dabengwa and Welshman Ncube not have performed better in Matebeleland at election time??!!
