The Tendai Biti led People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Economist and Political commentator Vincent Musewe to be the its secretary for finance and economic affairs.
Announcing Musewe’s appointment in Harare Thursday PDP Secretary General, Gorden Moyo said the incorporation of the independent economist into their party was going to add value to their economic planning policies as the government in-waiting.
“He has the capacity to drive this party’s main agenda, and the economy because it’s very clear the ruling party Zanu PF is suffering from poverty of ideas, and intellectual kwashiorkor,” said Moyo.
He went on to welcome the man. “I want to welcome him (Musewe) on behalf of the party and general membership because he is a man so passionate about economic justice and will certainly drive our agenda of economic rehabilitation,” he said.
Accepting the offer Musewe said he was going to change the country’s economic situation and perception.
“There is too much political consideration and too much patriotism which is not yielding anything. What needs to be done is to move away from the mere analysis of the situation to the application…” said Musewe in passing.
“There is lack of general appreciation of what needs to be done.
“We need to think before we act, having looked at the country’s 42 parties, there is nothing so far in place as better as PDP,” he continued.

So you have broken up with Tsvangirai and Mujuru. The ways things are going with all political parties struggling to make any impact who knows you may meet them again in some grand coalition.
He has made the wrong move. There is no way PDP will ever form a government in Zimbabwe ‘ if I was him I would rather join MDC T . ZANU pf or PF. At least his talent will be brought to use.
