By Langton Ncube| Convicted fraudster, Wicknell Chivayo has denied that he was arrested on Sunday and accused people for pushing for his arrest.

Chivayo said this in a latest video he has posted on social media.

The flamboyant high-living businessman said that there was so much hatred in the country, and accused people of jumping to conclusions because his phone was unreachable and because he was off social media

This directly contradicts what his lawyer, Advocate Thanbani Mpofu, told reporters.

Mpofu said that his client had been detained although he was not sure whether it was the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) or the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) who were responsible for his arrest.

Mpofu also said that he was frantically trying to establish where his client had been taken.

Before his arrest Chivayo was Saturday evening spotted at Surrey abattoir,53 Kilometers from Harare along Harare Mutare highway buying meat.

The flamboyant bogus business man was driving his latest Mec with number plates printed “Sir”.

Chivhayo who spent almost 30 minutes on the phone while the abattoir attendants were loading more than 20 Kilograms of meat in his car did not talk to anyone.

ZimEye.com failed to talk to him as he continuously attending to his phone before driving off to Harare, where he was arrested the following day.
