Opinion By ZimEye.com reader Nicholas Musiwa|That song by Cde Chinx called “Hondo Yeminda”.
We need to listen to that song objectively in the context of the British and the Americans playing part in African politics in general, and in particular Zimbabwe.
He was ZANU, yes. He beat people, yes. But what’s the message in that song? What we are seeing the British and the Americans doing right now against the majority of Zimbabwe represented by MDC (as also represented by ZAPU), to want to give ZANU lifeline (power again), is not what Chinx meant in that song?
I quote, “munotamba nemhandu idzi muchifunga kuti vangakudei, imimi? Vazhinji ma devils ava, vana satan chaivo, vakatsanangudzwa ne church ye Roma! Sataaan! Vaya vane muswe we barbed wire, muswe werata! Havakudei ava!”
I salute Cde Chinx
