By Paul Nyathi|Zimbabwe schools may have an early second term break to allow for the harmonised elections to take place.

Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Paul Mavhima hinted in Bulawayo on Friday that the school term scheduled to end on the 9th of August May be forced to end two weeks earlier to make way for the national elections set for July 30.

Most schools will be used as polling stations while teachers and other staff employed by the Ministry of Education will be part of the personnel running the elections.

The Ministry is expected to release an official statement to the effect within the next few days.
