On the 22nd May Zimeye Media had a live broadcast program on whether Saviour Kasukuwere had broken any immigration rules when he escaped to Mozambique through undesignated entry points to escape from a military attack during ‘Operation Restore Legacy’.

The live program was dubbed ‘ZRP TO INTERROGATE KASUKUWERE FOR BORDER JUMPING…WHY? – LET’S DISCUSS.

In conclusion to the live discussion, the majority view was that Kasukuwere had no case to answer as he left the country in fear for his life.

This week the courts acquitted him of any wrong doing. His lawyer Jonathan Samkange argued that his client left the country as a refugee, noting that the refugee status starts the moment when an individual’s life is in danger in the country of origin, not when they arrived at a hosting country.

In light of what has transpired in the Kasukuwere case, Is it the right time for Prof Jonathan Moyo to come back home?

Jonathan  Moyo Case Different!

In the live discussion program one contributors  had argued that Prof Moyo’s situation is different from Kasukuwere’s, as the latter had avoided being critical of Mnangagwa’s government whilst in exile. he said on the other hand Prof Moyo has remained critical of president Mnangagwa.

The question still remains: Does Prof Jonathan Moyo has any case to answer? Should he be allowed back home safely?
