Mexico stunned Group F favourites and defending World Cup Champions Germany with a 1-0 win to record a surprise victory.

Hirving Lozanoto grabbed the winner in the 35th minute with Germany in disarray moments after a failed attack with Mexico hitting them on the break.

Germany should have equalised in the second half as they dominated play but could not convert any of their 25 shots at goal they had.
